As anyone who’s been reading this blog knows, I am a big advocate of CONFIDENT behavior in men. Recently, I ran across a video which brilliantly shows the benefits of confidence in action. The video is from a Canadian show called “Keys to the VIP”,  which is a game show that pits two guys trying to pick up women in Toronto clubs, while four “experts” are sitting in a studio and critiquing and goofing on them.

In this particular episode, the two guys were challenged to kiss a girl while some other girl was sent in to pretend to be their “angry girlfriend” and ruin the pick up attempt. The first guy in the challenge does OK. But the second guy hits a home run. Watch the video as you read through the recap below it.

At 0:41 the first challenger tells the girl that he’s been looking at her the entire night and he wanted to approach her. That’s a bold and confident statement that women love. At that moment the “angry girlfriend’ comes in, but it doesn’t make a difference. He has built so much attraction with his confidence that at 1:53, after drinking a shot together, the girl tells him “I think I’m going to take you home tonight baby.” Unfortunately, the guy loses his cool and just gets her number instead.

It only gets better though with the next challenger. At 3:26 the guy boldly approaches the girl and says “Hi, How are you I’m Rob…” She says “I’m Adrianna…” Nothing too complicated. Just confident and assertive.

The rest goes like this and it’s CLASSIC:

• IMMEDIATELY after introducing himself, he kisses her hand and cheek- remember, despite what you’ve been told, women LOVE physical escalation, but you have to feel it out to make sure she’s ready
• At 3:35, she says “Rico Suave”- she LOVES his aggression
• At 3:38, he says “I wanna what it’s gonna take for you to love me”
• At 3:43, she is absolutely DUMBFOUNDED by his aggression. She says “Straight up like that?” in a disbelieving tone
• He maintains his composure and says “yeah”
• At 3:45 she basically lays it on a platter- “I need balls and clearly you have them”. That sentence alone speaks volumes for itself.
• At 3:48 he says “I’m not gonna lie, you’re one of the ugliest girls in the club.”- Not sure I would say, but this was effective here because obviously it was tongue in cheek and he showed he was not afraid to say anything
• At 4:06, he says “You know Italians are the best lovers in the world”. She says “I’ve only heard.” He says “If you don’t know that, let me prove it to you.”- Just very bold and assertive
• At 4:14 she says “if you can prove it to me” (or something like that). He maintains his composure, the tension builds and they kiss
• At 4:33, the “angry girlfriend” barges in, this only seems to have the effect of increasing the other girl’s attraction
• At 4:52 the girl says “You are the worst person I know.” His reply -  “This night isn’t about self-respect. It’s about me and it’s about you.”- hilarious
• At 5:17, he says “I give you two choices. One, you give me your number and we hook up on correct terms and do whatever we gotta do.” She says “You can make it up to me…”. He continues “Second option, is that you could leave this place with me.”
• At 5:34, she says “I think the pleasure’s going to be all mine I think…”
• At 5:40, she says “Let’s get out of here” and he takes her hand and they leave the club

Here’s my analysis: Regardless of what you think of his tactics or the specific things he said or did, there is one UNDENIABLE truth displayed in this video—— WOMEN LOVE CONFIDENCE!
